Mobile Internet, Video Driving Wireless Data Surge
Cisco and Juniper Networks today roll out network services aimed at handling the staggering demand for wireless data, which is slated to grow into the exabytes over the next four years, as more mobile devices are used to access the mobile Internet and to watch online video. Demand for wireless data is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 108 percent over the next four years, hitting 40 Exabytes a year by 2014, according to a new report from Cisco.
