Google Adds Connection Bar to Gmail for iPhone
The Inquirer: Google updates
its Gmail email service for Apple's smartphone platform.
"It has added a small but significant improvement in the form of a connection bar, which Google added because it is frustrating for users to not know if they are online or if their emails have been sent."
"The connection bar displays at the bottom of the screen when necessary, but then disappears when not in use, similar to the bar in the Chrome web browser."
"It displays when the user is offline or online, when it is checking for mail, sending mail, and finally when emails have been sent."
