IEEE Approves WiMAX Mobile 2 802.16m Standard
Mobile Burn: The 802.16m standard is an update to the 802.16 standard for WiMAX.
"The 802.16m standard, an update to the 802.16 standard for WiMAX, has been approved by the IEEE board. 802.16m, or WiMAX Mobile 2, will allow for speeds of up to 100Mbps, similar to the capabilities of LTE Advanced.
