T-Mobile Extends 4G to 10 More Cities

Geek.com: Carrier plans to boost network speed for its high-speed network as well.

"If you’ve been waiting for T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network to make it to your area, you may be in luck: the company announced yesterday that they’re planning to roll out 4G access to 10 new cities in North America. Additionally, T-Mobile announced that 4G users in select cities will see a speed boost, as they try to improve performance to compete with Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network and Sprint’s WiMax."

"The speed increases should bring T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network up to a theoretical 42 megabits per second (Mbps), which is more than twice Verizon Wireless LTE’s promised 12Mbps download speeds and theoretical 21Mbps maximum download speeds. New York City, Las Vegas, and Orlando will be the first cities to see the speed improvement, with a nationwide rollout planned afterward, if all goes well."
