"The carrier claims that this new plan will save customers more than $350 per year when compared with similar unlimited plans from AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint. The unlimited plan will even let smartphone users enjoy unlimited data with their phones. If a smartphone user goes over 2GB of data usage in a month, his or her connection will be throttled to a reduced speed until the next billing cycle. T-Mobile claims that smartphone customers use an average of 1GB of data per month."
