Tip: Samsung Epix — Resetting the Smartphone

The Samsung Epix has a hard reset feature found at Settings-->System-->Hard Reset. This is also the place where you can change the reset password. Unfortunately, you'll need the existing reset password in order to perform a reset. If you don't have it, there is a work-around.

With the device off, press and hold the H key. Power on the smartphone while holding the H key and after a quick Samsung screen, you'll see:

[Format Mode]
Format : Press OK
Skip : other keys

When you press OK, you'll get the confirmation question, "Do you want to erase your whole data? Yes (1)/No (2)"

Press one and the device reformats back to factory defaults.
