Apple Prepping iPad 2, iOS 4.3, White iPhone 4?

The Verizon iPhone finally becoming a reality does not mean there's a shortage of Apple rumors: leaks about the white iPhone 4, imminent release of iOS 4.3 with personal hotspot functionality and a sneak peek of the iPad 2 with upcoming release dates are popping up all over the blogosphere.

White iPhone 4 imminent?

Engadget is suggesting that the white iPhone 4 will launch within the next few weeks, at the latest, because pictures of retail price and inventory tags for the coveted handset keep showing up, as evidenced by the most recent one for a Houston-based Best Buy.

iPad2 release date slated for March?

On the iPad 2 front, the Japanese blog Marcotakara is reporting that Apple will will show off the iPad 2 at a small media event later this month, at which it will show off the iPad 2, with many industry watchers speculating that the iPad 2 will go on sale by the end of March. New features for the second-generation iPad could include a 7-inch form factor, stylus support and a carbon fiber case according to a summary of rumors reported today by the tech blog GigaOM.

iOS 4.3 to be unveiled later this month?

Meanwhile, a recent spate of reports are hinting that Apple is prepping the next version of its mobile operating system, iOS 4.3, which will include personal hotspot functionality, and that it may be unveiled as early as Feb. 13.

In the Verizon iPhone, the single stand-out feature is the ability for the phone to allow up to five mobile devices to connect to the Internet, and some industry watchers say this will come to the AT&T iPhone with the release of iOS 4.3

The beta version of iOS 4.3 was released to developers in mid-January.
