No iPhone 5 This Time, but Meet the New iPhone 4S

You know all those iPhone 5 rumors that have been circulating for what seems like 20 years? Well, get ready for more iPhone 5 rumors in the future, because what Apple introduced today is called the iPhone 4S. No iPhone 5 was announced at the press event this morning in Cupertino.

The iOS 5 voice-recognition technology was the killer feature unveiled today, based on Siri technology (a company Apple acquired). One example demonstrated on stage by Scott Forstall, Apple's iOS chief.

The iPhone 4S camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that can capture 73 percent more light, and is 33 percent faster.
