Verizon says its Private Network with Static IP is perfect for enterprises with mobile workforces that need to send and retrieve sensitive information via wireless devices, including smartphones. Verizon Wireless Private Network enhances the protection and reliability of wireless data transmission by avoiding the security risks associated with the public Internet, the company says.

The Verizon Wireless Private Network with Static IP for mobile devices can be set up for a one-time fee of $500 and is compatible with Verizon Wireless PC cards, wireless routers, embedded laptops or mobile Internet devices, including smartphones.
